This tab shows the settings Office Athlete® uses to remind you to take a 'Micro-Break.'
Four user-defined actions activate Office Athlete® to remind you to take a break. These are:
Default settings are programmed for each function. You can change these settings to make Office Athlete® fit your work habits. You can turn off any setting, as well.
We recommend you use Office Athlete® with the default settings initially to become familiar with how Office Athlete works before adjusting the settings. A suggested method to determine the settings that match your work habits is to print your stats and compare your daily results for several days. Then, modify your settings to match your work habits so Office Athlete® reminds you to take a break every 30-40 minutes. Remember, you only benefit from Office Athlete® if you take the suggested breaks as you work.2
Besides the monitored-input suggestions, the user may also prefer to trigger a "Breather Break" by setting a minute and/or hour value in the "I want to take a Breather Break after..." spaces. These breaks do not cause a stretch exercise to display, and are based purely on a clock timer. "Breather Breaks" are completely independent of all other monitored breaks. The default for this option is "off."
You can change each setting by typing a number into the relevant box or by clicking on the arrow to the right of each box to open the drop down list of predefined settings. If you enter an invalid number, you will be prompted to change it.
You can turn off one or more controls by clicking on the drop down list, scrolling to the top of the list, and clicking on the off option.
If you would like to return to the original default settings, select the Restore Default Settings button.
